| Lyocell (aka Tencel®) |
Tencell is one of the softest fabrics on the planet. It is made from the cellulose in wood pulp. This pulp is formed into fibres used for textiles and clothing with low environmental impact and an economical use of energy and water. It is processed with non-toxic dissolving agents and the result is a very soft, breathable, lightweight, long-lasting, easy to care for and completely biodegradable fabric. Lyocell is made in a closed loop production system which means that nothing harmful or toxic is released into the environment. |
"True fashion is about non-toxicity. If fashion pollutes, it should no longer be called fashion, it should be called pollution."
-Horst Rechelbacher, Founder Intelligent Nutrients and AVEDA
