Program Coordinator - Summer Contract (May-August)

Fashion Takes Action (FTA) is looking for a bilingual university student or recent graduate to join our team this summer! This role offers hands-on experience supporting programs that advance circular fashion, sustainability, and industry change in Canada.

Over roughly 14 weeks, you’ll work with our small but passionate team to support events, research, communications, and program coordination across several initiatives, including ReMode, My Clothes My World and the Canadian Circular Textiles Consortium (CCTC).

If you’re curious about sustainable fashion, love staying organized, and want to gain experience in the nonprofit and sustainability sector, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Help coordinate meetings, schedules, and internal project updates

  • Assist with planning and follow-up for ReMode events, including vendor outreach and post-event reporting

  • Support communications and outreach to partners, vendors, and stakeholders

  • Help gather research and track developments in sustainable fashion and textile policy

  • Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and workshop materials

  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the FTA team

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate is:

  • Bilingual; fluent in English and French

  • A university student or recent graduate in a relevant field

  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks

  • Comfortable learning new digital tools

  • A clear communicator with strong writing skills

  • Curious about sustainable fashion, ethics, and environmental issues

  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently in a remote environment

Experience with tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Hootsuite, and Squarespace is an asset.
