Sierra Aston is the summer Marketing Coordinator at Fashion Takes Action.

She has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and is currently studying Marketing Management at BCIT. Her background includes non-profit leadership, digital marketing, and event coordination. Sierra is passionate about combining her experience and studies to help make the fashion industry more sustainable.

For her undergraduate thesis, Sierra explored the relationship between sustainable fashion and social media, investigating how social media simultaneously drives overconsumption and micro-trends while also serving as a powerful advocacy tool for sustainability.

Sierra has also organized local thrift pop-ups, worked in vintage retail, and hosted a Green Drink’s community talk on sustainable fashion. She continues to collaborate with other creatives on photoshoots as a stylist, working exclusively with sustainably sourced clothing.

When she's not working or studying, Sierra is usually outside skiing, camping, or hiking. She also enjoys sewing and upcycling clothes in her spare time.
