Climate Change Is Racist

By Jeremy Williams

The premise of this book reinforces our blindspots to see that the notion of climate change is racist. With all the rhetoric surrounding climate change, Jeremy brings up the point that when we talk about racism, the focus is on personal prejudice or institutional racism. However, climate change, as Jeremy puts it 'is structurally racist, disproportionately causes by majority-white people with the damage unleashed overwhelmingly on people of colour.' The climate crisis reflects racial injustices.
