Tony oversees the reuse and recycling business operations for Value Village® (also known as Village des Valeurs in Canada), a purpose-driven thrift retailer with nearly 350 stores across North America and Australia. During his 20+ year tenure at Value Village, Tony has been instrumental in establishing the company as a global leader in extending the life of reusable goods. Tony is passionate about reuse, representing Value Village through his various speaking engagements, editorial contributions, and leadership in various industry associations and working groups. Recently, Tony served as a board member and president of Secondary Materials and Recycled Textiles Association (SMART), an international trade association focused on promoting high standards and best practices for reducing solid waste by recycling textiles and related secondary materials. Through his work, Tony is helping bring the reuse and recycling industries together with the goal of working towards a circular economy.
