Rachel Fortin

Designer and Creative director at Maison Tulipe

Rachel Fortin is a Montreal-based designer and creative director who also works as an educator and project manager. Trained in visual arts and fashion design, she has spent more than twenty years exploring the connections between design, craft, and sustainability.

Through her studio, Maison Tulipe, she gives new life to forgotten textiles and post-consumer materials, creating one-of-a-kind objects and garments that blend modernity with heritage. Guided by a deep sensitivity to materials and their histories, she sees repair and textile circularity as both a political act and an endless source of innovation and beauty.

Committed to more responsible approaches to design and making, she shares her expertise through workshops, training sessions, and collaborative projects that encourage the repair, transformation, and reclaiming of clothing.
